"The Keeper of Secrets" (aka Raven After Fire), 12x18 on Maple Wood (SOLD but available as a custom order)
Raven, for many Northwest Indian tribes, is a cultural hero. Depending on the myth or tribe, Raven can be both an enigmatic and benevolent transformer figure - a shape-shifter - who can travel back and forth from the present to unknown worlds, as well as assist people in shifting consciousness into varying realms. As such, Raven, a guide to the magical, mystical and unknown, is called The Keeper of Secrets.
This image was captured shortly after the Twisp River Fire of 2015 when smoke still hung in the air creating an apocalyptic yellow haze and burned trees were still smoldering. This is a digitally modified photograph so that the image looks like a painting. I often work in this medium, which takes a lot of time and experimentation, and I love it for certain images. It creates an artsy and unique look. I typically print this image on maple wood, making the print even more artistic with striations of the wood grain showing through the image, but it is available on metal, thin wrap, canvas or as fine art print for your framing - in any size. Shipping included in price.
