Barn Swallow, 8x10 on Maple Wood (SOLD but available as a custom order)
There are numerous swallow species in the Methow and Washington. The Barn Swallow has dark blue-black back and a orange front-side, but the main feature is its forked tail. Like other swallows, these lovely birds swope and dart about quickly in the air above you. They are most often seen near human-made structures (like barns) because they build nests from mud and plaster them to the sides of buildings, and under eaves and roofs.
This is a digitally modified photograph so that the image looks like a painting. I often work in this medium, which takes a lot of time and experimentation, and I love it for certain images. It creates an artsy and unique look. This is printed on maple wood, making the print even more artistic with striations of the wood grain showing through the image. Priced as a vertical 8x10 and ready to hang. Shipping included in price. Other sizes and mediums available.
