Autumn Art Adventures (Sept 20 - The Anatomy of Landscape)
It's time for “Autumn Art Adventures!” - a series of nature journaling classes to get you outside and drawing. Join us (Perri Howard & Mary Kiesau) to celebrate the change of seasons from fading summer blooms to gorgeous autumn color, become a more engaged naturalist and enjoy drawing practice.
Classes meet on Fridays, 12:30pm-5:00pm, on Sept 20, Sept 27, Oct 18 and Oct 25. Attend individual classes for $70 or register for all four at a discounted rate of $250. All materials are included.

~ September 20: The anatomy of a landscape
Looking at the big picture, learn how to draw rivers, mountains, clouds, and cliffs all in one drawing! - REGISTER BELOW FOR THIS ONE
~ September 27: ID that tree!
Explore the secret life of leaves and trees through drawing studies and working with texture.
~ October 18th: The colors of fall
We will bust out the colored pencils and learn a little bit about working with shades, hues, and vibrancy to celebrate fall foliage!
~ October 25th: Death and Decay
Happy Halloween! We will celebrate by drawing the spooky side of the landscape, using textures, contours, and line quality to convey plant life that is dormant, dead, and decayed.
Each class starts with a short natural history walk outdoors, if the weather cooperates, led by Mary Kiesau. Then we transition to Perri’s studio at TwispWorks for three or so hours of drawing lessons and practice. With the opportunity to work from real life, and photographs, these sessions are designed for everyone, at every level! Beginners will learn lots of tips and step-by-step "recipes" for drawing and nature journaling, and more experienced students will hone in on details and more expressive techniques.
