Black Bear entering North Cascades Tarn, 9x12 Thin Wrap
While on a multi-day backpacking trip in the North Cascades National Park, eating lunch at a small mountain pond (a tarn), this black bear ambled up for a drink and a swim. I was downwind of it and it didn't smell or notice me for quite some time. What a treat to watch! This is a digitally modified photograph so that the image looks like a painting. I often work in this medium, which takes a lot of time and experimentation, and I love it for certain images. It creates an artsy and unique look. This is a ready-to-hang, frameless "Thin Wrap," which is touchable photo paper that is wrapped around a 1/4 inch firm "gator board." A slim block is attached to the back so that the print can be hung directly on a wall and it appears slightly as if it's floating on the wall. The whole thing is very light weight and does not need a wall stud to be hung. Shipping included in the price.
